Article 1 | Purpose of website

The purpose of Korea Business Forum website (hereafter “The Website”) are to give various services (hereafter ‘services’) to The Website visitors, and member who registered to Korea Business Forum (hereafter ‘KBF’) by Korea Associates Business Consultancy (hereafter ‘KABC’) which is organiser of The Website.

Article 2. Acceptance of The Website

Using The Website means complying with the Terms of Condition of ‘The Website’ organised by KABC, and KABC can change Terms of Conditions  (hereafter ‘ToC’) without prior notice, and members and visitors of The Website can check the latest version of ToC.

Article 3 | Duty of member

  1. When registering as a member on this website, the member must provide complete information (hereinafter referred to as “registration information”) according to the current fact.
  2. If there is a change, the member must update the registration information immediately, and KABC may request an update or limit or suspend the use of the site if the information provided by the member is incorrect.
  3. In the case of one of the following actions, members may be restricted from using the site or punished by related laws.
    1. Actions that harm others
    2. Posting text, software, music, photos, graphics, or video messages that are inappropriate for the use of the site or that infringe all rights or copyrights.
    3. Identity theft and entering incorrect information
    4. Posting unnecessary or unauthorized advertisements, including junk mail, spam, etc., or posting software or viruses to damage, interfere with or limit the functions of the computer’s software, hardware, communication networks, and communication equipment.
    5. When we collect or store information of other individuals or members
    6. If you commit an act that violates the laws prescribed by the Republic of Korea
  4. Members shall not leak, reproduce, sell, or resell services, use of services, and access to commercial purposes to others.

Article 4 | Duty of KABC

KABC complies with laws and regulations related to the operation and maintenance of services such as the Act on Promotion of Information and Communication Network Utilisation in Korea and the Communication Act.

When operating The Website, KABC accepts the member’s submitted opinions or complaints when it is objectively justified and reflects it in The Website operation. If it is difficult or difficult to reflect, the member is notified of the reason for the rejection.

Article 5 | Privacy policy

KABC treats members’ personal information carefully. In addition, KABC can update the privacy policy without prior notice, and members can always check the latest version of the privacy policy through the Privacy Policy page.

Article 6 | Links within The Website

KABC may provide links to certain other sites and materials on The Website, but will not be responsible for links to other linked sites and materials unless there is a deliberate or serious error.

Article 7 | Disclosure of personal information

KABC may provide personal information such as the member’s name and e-mail address to third parties to the extent permitted by Republic of Korean law.

KABC is required to provide these personal information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations when a member has a formal request or order from a law enforcement agency to confirm whether a member violates laws or regulations.

Article 8 | No infringement of rights

Members of the Service or any necessary software used in connection therewith contain proprietary and confidential information protected by KABC’s intellectual property rights and other laws and must not engage in any acts that violate it.

Members must acknowledge and agree that the information contained in sponsored advertisements or services or information provided to members through advertisers is protected and recognised by law, including copyrights, trademarks, service marks and patents.

Members are not permitted to modify, rent, loan, sell, distribute or create any or all of the works based on the service or software except as authorised by KABC.

KABC grants members a non-transferable non-exclusive license to use the object code of the software on a single computer. Members or third parties may not copy, modify, create, reverse engineer, reverse assemble or reverse assemble or discover source code, or transfer, sell, transfer, relicense, or create rights to the software. Members must agree to modify the software or use the software modification to access the service in an unauthorised manner, or to access the service in any other way without going through the interface provided by Chamber.

Article 9 | Jurisdiction and governing law

KABC shall have jurisdiction over all disputes arising from the use of the Service by the Seoul Central District Court.
